Obama would have you believe that he and the rest of the liberal elite have the cure of global warming. They would have you believe that they and the rest of the new global communist movement at the U.N. have figured it all out and know exactly how to stop it.

JOHNSTON, Iowa – In a recently publicized video from the Democratic primaries, Sen. Barack Obama said the government should drive energy bills up though "price signals" in order to force Americans into more environmentally friendly choices.
In the Nov. 9, 2007, interview on Iowa Public Television's "Iowa Press," Obama said Americans like driving SUVs and leaving the lights on, but since "it is undisputable that the climate is getting warmer," consumers would have to change their habits.
When asked what would make consumers change, Obama said government-created "price signals" would make people more mindful of energy costs and compel them to start changing light bulbs and turning off light switches.
Associated Press reporter Mike Glover asked, "How do you convince people to change their lifestyle, to live differently?"

Internet bloggers that began circulating the video earlier today also lent their opinion on Obama's plan for consumer change.
"Is that the function of government — to fix prices as a punitive measure to change consumer behavior?" asked the Hot Air Blog. "It will be in an Obama administration. He and a few elites will decide which consumer behaviors are bad and penalize it with price signals."

Well it would seem that nature already has a solution and as I have been saying over and over for the past ten years, global warming as you hear about it is a scam. Global climate is a function of solar activity and large-scale weather patterns. I have had two questions for the global warming crowd over the years. One, if man was causing global warming, then why have there been visible changes to the polar regions on the rest of the planets in our solar system. Two, how can we be having on going global warming if the planet has not warmed in the last ten years? In actuality the temperature has gone down in the last two years.

They scream, the arctic sea ice is disappearing, no it isn’t, it is moving, artic winds run in cycles just like the rest of the planet. Currently the winds are in a pattern that blows the ice directly into the north Atlantic where in flows south and quickly melts. At the same time you are not hearing anything about the increasing amounts of Antarctic ice, yes the ice cover and sea ice in the Antarctic is increasing.

Over the past year, anecdotal evidence for a cooling planet has exploded. China has its coldest winter in 100 years. Baghdad sees its first snow in all recorded history. North America has the most snowcover in 50 years, with places like Wisconsin the highest since record-keeping began. Have you noticed how environmental campaigners almost inevitably say that not only is global warming happening and bad, but also that what we are seeing is even worse than expected?
This is odd, because any reasonable understanding of how science proceeds would expect that, as we refine our knowledge, we find that things are sometimes worse and sometimes better than we expected, and that the most likely distribution would be about 50-50. Environmental campaigners, however, almost invariably see it as 100-0.
The most obvious point about global warming is that the planet is heating up. It has warmed about 1C (1.8F) over the past century, and is predicted by the United Nations’ climate panel (IPCC) to warm between 1.6-3.8C (2.9-6.8F) during this century, mainly owing to increased CO2. An average of all 38 available standard runs from the IPCC shows that models expect a temperature increase in this decade of about 0.2C.
But this is not at all what we have seen. And this is true for all surface temperature measures, and even more so for both satellite measures. Temperatures in this decade have not been worse than expected; in fact, they have not even been increasing. They have actually decreased by between 0.01 and 0.1C per decade. On the most important indicator of global warming, temperature development, we ought to hear that the data are actually much better than expected.

Blue collar calling liberal elite: Leave us alone, and we’ll be fine!

So by Obama’s own words he is going to see to it you pay higher prices to solve a mythical problem. Yep, there is some change you can believe in.
