The Great State of Texas stands up to the TSA and it's merry band of molestors.
Remember the Alamo, and every Texan knows why.
On September 11th 2001 terrorists struck at the heart of our nation, four planes taken in flight, three resulted in the images and heartbreak our nation will never forget. One plane that day was brought down harmlessly, to those on the ground, in a field in Pennsylvania.
Why? It was due to the Americans on the plane, who would not sit idly by and let the terrorists use them and that aircraft to commit such an atrocity.
After that day, our wonderful, wise and ever caring federal government passed laws giving our security over to federal unionized bureaucrats.
Follow up:
The enhanced search tactics employed by TSA workers at our airports make us no safer; they just allow us to trade our personal liberty for a false sense of security.
I do and will always maintain if you really want air travel to be safer then allow every law abiding citizen with a concealed carry permit to carry their weapon on the plane with them.
If this were done, then when Mr. I Hate America jumps up he has to consider, of the passengers on this plane, how many are armed?
Right now, all he as to consider is how hard will it be to break down the cockpit door.
Now the TSA has decided that they must grope and molest anyone and everyone they think could be interesting or fun to play with, or I should say, they feel is hiding something.
Hold on there granny you and your grandson need to be felt up, oh no you go right ahead to your flight Muhammad and Abdul, have a nice day.
In steps the Texas legislature with House Bill 1937, known as the TSA Anti-groping legislation. The Texas legislature was attempting to do what every state should be doing, standing up to an oppressive federal government and protecting it’s citizens. Of course the department of (in)justice could not sit by and allow some state to stop the awe inspiring federal government, so they sent a letter to the state: (click to read the letter from the DOJ) threatening Texas with lawsuits and the suspension of flights if the legislation passed.
If HR [sic] 1937 were enacted, the federal government would likely seek an emergency stay of the statute. Unless or until such a stay were granted, TSA would likely be required to cancel any flight or series of flights for which it could not ensure the safety of passengers and crew.
So there it is, the federal government lays down an out right threat. (Oh and on a side note, the TSA obviously cannot guarantee the safety or security of any flight at any time or did this fact elude them?)
The nations founders and the founders of Texas never envisioned a central government agency with such unfettered, unchecked power to harass and imprison law-abiding citizens as the unelected, unaccountable TSA has assumed.
We are Texans and as such certain things are always true. We are self reliant, self sufficient and independent. Texans do not require the city, county, state or federal government to protect, provide for or direct our lives. We can and will do that for ourselves. We as Texans will defend our lives, families, homes and property for ourselves. Thank you very much Mr. President, you can keep the change.
Due to the threat by the lawyers from the dept. of (in)justice the Anti-Groping legislation did not make it out of the Texas state senate during the regular session. The bill has been moved to the special session and could be considered as early as Friday June 24th.
All Texans should stand together and demand this legislation be passed and signed by our Governor. It is imperative now that the DOJ has threatened Texas, that Texas stand up for her citizens and protect her sovereignty against the intrusion of the imperial federal government.
This legislation is Pro-Texas values and the fight that it seems to provoke with the TSA and the federal government is exactly what Texas needs. We as Texans should welcome the chance and the fight to stop the growth, expansion and tyranny that the federal government is aspiring to.
If not us, if not now and if not for this, then who, when and about what?
Texans are ready for the fight.

UPDATE:
It appears that both in regular session and then again in special session the spineless wonders in Austin have failed Texans. They failed to approve the anti-groping legislation, the anti-sanctuary cities legislation and they failed to approve the open carry law. Once again the jello for guts polititians have let down the citizens of Texas. Maybe it is time to send a few more of them to the unemployment office. Texans don't let Texans vote for cowards who refuse to stand up for Texas Values.
