That is really what is wrong with our country today.
The schools start them as early as 4 and 5 years old and for 13 or 14 years drill into their little minds not to buck the system. They indoctrinate them to keep their heads down, never think for themselves and never to be different. They inundate them with messages of evil capitalism and the oppressive invasion and conquest of North America.

Then off they go to college where liberal professors carry on the same message of evil corporations and criminal rich people. Preaching the message of liberalism and socialism as the salvation and cure for our nation.

What we end up with is a population of malcontents, bent on protesting against hard work and the principle of risk and reward. That believe they are not responsible for the choices they make and the results of those choices. They chose to believe that unwed pregnancy, drug use, dropping out of school are all just life styles and they should not have to suffer any ill effects.

Follow up:

Long gone is the time when parents, not schools, educated children of the value of work.
On the value and benefit of good choices and a proper education. Taught their children to understand that to get a days pay you had to do a days work. Guided their heirs on a path with a moral compass. Taught the values of individualism and self-reliance. Made their children to understand that to take anything from the government was stealing from your neighbors who like them had to work hard for their income. Taught the beauty and benefit of capitalism. Capitalism being the driving force of this nation from its first settlements. The one force in this nation that has in the past raised more people out of poverty and raised the standard of living to the highest in the world.
Gone are the days when parents taught children that individual liberty and freedom are blessings to be protected and cherished. Long gone is the time when every young adult understood that liberty not only had to be protected from foreign enemies but also from those who would steal it from within. To be ever mindful of the encroachment of the government on freedom in the name of security or equality.

What I see now, a workforce content to do 8 hours (or less if they can get away with it), do only the bare minimum to get by. Content to be good little tax slaves and hope the government will give them some kind of welfare tax credit at the end of the year. To protest success and to use the government to extort more and more from those who succeed by hard work.

The rich get richer because they keep doing the things that make people richer. They go to work, they invest and take risks. They start businesses and expand them. They protect their wealth with good choices and responsible decisions.

The poor get poorer by doing what makes people poor. Bad choices in life, lack of ambition and drive to do more or be better. Poor choices to spend what little money they do have.

Parents need to step up, start teaching values and morals. Start by imparting the values of hard work and investment in the future to your children. Stop allowing them to be subjugated into mindless socialist tax slaves.
Never allow your child to do “just enough”, always ask your child “what more could you have done?” Instill in them the value of going the extra mile.

For adults it is not to late to break the cycle.
Stop blaming everyone else, find the things you can do in your own life. Find ways to go the extra mile, seek ways to do more in your job and in your life. Take personal responsibility for your actions and use your ambition for your gain. Take the initiative with everything you do. Never let the minimum be enough.
Never settle for a government hand out. You can do so much more with your life if you just put your heart and your head into it.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. --Declaration of Independence.
